ABOUT APRON Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, but the systems they rely on are slow, manual, and built for someone else. The gap between what payments demand of an owner and their ability to actually manage them is one of the biggest reasons small businesses fail on cash flow, not on demand for their product. Apron closes that gap. We're digitising and simplifying the entire payments process: capturing invoices, issuing expense cards, paying and getting paid, all in one place. Founded in 2021, we've grown to ~100 people across the UK, Germany, Spain and beyond, backed by Index Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Zinal Growth and Tony Fadell, having raised $50m. The next phase isn't incremental. We're building a category-defining, global fintech business, and that requires a design team that can operate at the same level of ambition.
