We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive based in the Western United States (Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico ideally). This Account Executive will be part of the EveryDay Labs team within Newsela.

EveryDay Labs is an education technology company that uses behavioral science and data to reduce chronic absenteeism in K-12 schools. They provide districts with attendance dashboards and a workflow platform along with proactive, personalized communication, multilingual family support, attendance intervention, and strategic consulting to improve school-family engagement. Founded in 2015 from the research of Dr. Todd Rogers, their evidence-backed family communications use behavioral and data science to effectively “nudge” families overcome barriers to attendance. EDL has partnered with districts to prevent over 3.1 million absences and restore over 1 billion minutes of instruction.

Why You'll Love This Role: 

  • The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for building relationships with key decision makers at the district level and selling the EveryDay Labs’ comprehensive attendance solution. 
  • You’ll employ solution-based selling techniques and solution mapping, along with your strong negotiation and closing skills, to ensure school board preparation and approval. 
  • You’ll create and maintain an aggressive pipeline, and will build and adjust strategic account plans for key accounts to move each account through the sales cycle.
