Senior Rust Systems Engineer – Edge Proxy & Fleet

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Rust Systems Engineer – Edge Proxy & Fleet based in India. This is a senior systems engineering role focused on building and operating core edge infrastructure deployed across thousands of on-premise appliances in school networks. You’ll work primarily in Rust on fleet-wide over-the-air updates, control-plane connectivity with AWS, and network stack optimization. The role combines systems programming, embedded Linux, networking, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for improving reliability, performance, and scalability across a large distributed appliance fleet. The environment offers the opportunity to work on production infrastructure where resilience and efficient resource usage are critical. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams across India, the US, and the UK while owning technically challenging systems-level initiatives.
