Vice President of Underwriting

This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape underwriting strategy, risk management, and profitability across a growing health insurance organization.You will oversee underwriting functions spanning fully insured and self-funded health plans, stop-loss, ancillary, and specialty products.The role combines strategic direction with operational oversight, pricing discipline, regulatory compliance, and team development.You will work closely with Sales, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to balance sustainable growth with disciplined risk selection.Your expertise will help strengthen pricing methodologies, risk frameworks, underwriting performance, and market positioning.You will also lead initiatives to improve workflows, automation, analytics, consistency, and turnaround times across underwriting operations.This position is suited to an experienced underwriting leader who can build high-performing teams while maintaining strong financial and regulatory discipline.
