Underwriter III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Underwriter III based in United States. The Underwriter III is a senior-level mortgage underwriting professional responsible for evaluating and making decisions on a broad range of residential loan applications. This role covers conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, new construction, condominium, jumbo, and other specialized loan programs. You will assess financial documentation, creditworthiness, collateral, compliance requirements, and potential risk to ensure loans meet company, government, and investor standards. The position operates with a high degree of independence and serves as a subject matter expert for complex underwriting questions and escalated issues. You will collaborate closely with Loan Officers, Processors, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps and move applications toward closing. This role is well suited to an experienced underwriter who combines strong judgment, regulatory knowledge, attention to detail, and customer-focused communication.
