Trade Compliance Attorney

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Trade Compliance Attorney based in Canada. This is an opportunity for an experienced attorney to provide sophisticated U.S. customs counsel on complex and time-sensitive trade matters.You will independently advise on customs regulations, tariffs, investigations, enforcement actions, and trade remedies.The role combines strategic legal advisory work with hands-on management of matters before U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other relevant agencies.You will assess risk, develop practical recommendations, and help stakeholders navigate evolving trade requirements.The position offers exposure to high-impact issues spanning tariff programs, valuation, classification, country of origin, and duty recovery.You’ll work in a flexible, remote environment while applying deep subject-matter expertise to challenging international trade matters.This role is particularly well suited to a lawyer whose practice is centered on substantive U.S. customs law rather than operational compliance.
