Staff Software Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Software Developer based in Canada. As a Staff Software Developer, you’ll remain deeply hands-on while taking broad technical ownership across complex engineering challenges. You’ll design scalable, performant systems and solve difficult production issues across distributed environments. The role combines substantial coding with technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-team influence. You’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions. You’ll also use AI-enabled engineering practices, automation, and data-informed debugging to improve development velocity and system reliability. This is an opportunity to shape technical direction while staying close to the code and delivering high-impact software at scale.
