Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations at Performive. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Experience in the technology or MSP sector is strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Support monthly and year-end close processes
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a service-based or tech environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• This position is fully remote with a target base salary range of $60-$75k.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Match 100% on the first 4% of your contribution to 401k.
