Sr. Software Developer – Application Migration & Modernization

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Software Developer – Application Migration & Modernization based in Brazil. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on modernizing legacy .NET applications and their underlying data platforms. You will transform mature, business-critical systems into maintainable, scalable, and testable solutions. The work spans both application and database layers, including migrating .NET Framework applications from Oracle to PostgreSQL on AWS. You’ll tackle real-world modernization challenges such as undocumented logic, legacy data access patterns, stored procedures, and production constraints. Success requires careful planning, strong testing, and a focus on seamless migrations with minimal disruption to users. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, DBAs, product owners, and engineering teams while helping raise development standards across the team.
