Sr Mainframe Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Mainframe Developer based in India. This role focuses on developing and supporting critical mainframe applications within a healthcare claims environment.You will translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant technical solutions using established mainframe technologies.The position covers the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support.You will work across COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ while following established coding standards and engineering practices.The role also involves troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing application performance, and supporting release activities.You will collaborate with business stakeholders, QA, project management, support teams, and distributed development teams.With 10+ years of experience, you will also provide technical guidance and mentoring while contributing effectively in an Agile environment.
