This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Souscripteur(trice) hypothécaire based in Canada. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will evaluate residential mortgage applications and make sound credit decisions in a high-volume, performance-driven environment. You’ll review credit, income, assets, appraisals, and supporting documentation to identify and mitigate risk while maintaining regulatory and internal compliance. The role combines analytical judgment with a strong customer and broker focus, requiring you to find practical solutions rather than simply decline complex files. You’ll manage your pipeline end to end, ensuring applications progress efficiently without compromising quality. You’ll work closely with mortgage broker partners and internal teams to resolve issues, clarify information, and keep transactions moving. This is an opportunity for an experienced underwriter to contribute to a growing Quebec-focused team while helping improve the mortgage customer journey.
