Software Engineer — Agentic Search Systems

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer — Agentic Search Systems based in India. This contract opportunity is designed for experienced software engineers who have shipped production-grade search systems and want to work at the intersection of search, AI, and agentic systems. You will help improve the accuracy, relevance, depth, and reliability of modern AI-powered search experiences. The role combines hands-on engineering with ownership of retrieval and relevance systems used by real users. You will develop and optimize agentic search capabilities while scaling the data infrastructure required to support sophisticated retrieval workflows. Your work will be measured through concrete improvements in system performance, search quality, and user outcomes. Working remotely and asynchronously, you will collaborate with AI research teams and contribute directly to advancing next-generation search systems.
