Senior Underwriter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Underwriter based in Canada. This is a senior commercial underwriting opportunity focused on developing tailored insurance solutions for mid-market business clients. You will apply broad Property & Casualty underwriting expertise across areas such as property, casualty, commercial auto, and fleet risks. The role combines technical underwriting, pricing analysis, negotiation, and relationship management in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will work closely with Commercial Insurance Specialists and cross-functional partners in Actuarial and Claims to develop effective solutions for complex risks. Strong attention to detail and sound commercial judgment will be essential when assessing risk and designing appropriate coverage. The position also provides opportunities to coach and mentor colleagues while contributing to a high-performing underwriting culture. This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity based in Calgary, Alberta, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
