Senior System Engineer (Virtual Private Cloud Team)

Our partner is looking for a Senior System Engineer (Virtual Private Cloud Team) based in Switzerland. This is a senior systems engineering role focused on building and operating the core networking layer of a large-scale cloud platform. You will work on virtual private networking that enables reliable connectivity across distributed datacenter environments. The role combines high-level control-plane development in Go with low-level dataplane and systems engineering, primarily involving C and open-source technologies. You will contribute to secure networking services including virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, security groups, and connectivity features. A key focus will be improving scalability, resilience, performance, and stability across critical cloud infrastructure. You will investigate challenging networking, datapath, kernel, and performance issues while collaborating with experienced engineers across the platform.
