Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure (RDBMS)

Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure (RDBMS) based in Canada. As a Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure (RDBMS), you will design, operate, and scale relational database infrastructure supporting petabyte-scale data workloads. You will own critical parts of the serving layer, from query performance and schema design to availability, reliability, and infrastructure cost. Working with PostgreSQL and distributed database technologies, you will help ensure customer-facing systems remain fast, resilient, and scalable. The role combines deep database engineering with automation, observability, data replication, and AI-assisted development. You will collaborate with experienced engineers in a distributed, async-first environment where technical ownership and operational excellence are highly valued.
