Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will lead complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives in support of CVS Health’s digital transformation strategy. This role requires a highly self-driven, execution-focused leader who can operate comfortably “in the weeds” while also partnering effectively with leadership and diverse business stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive delivery of high-impact programs on time and on budget, ensuring alignment across technology, business, compliance, and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives, including digital transformation and platform modernization efforts

  • Serve as the primary liaison between technology and business teams, ensuring alignment on goals, scope, dependencies, and outcomes

  • Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, including timeline management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to meet scope, budget, and schedule targets

  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical plans in collaboration with engineering, product, data, security, and infrastructure teams

  • Provide clear direction and oversight to delivery teams while maintaining hands-on involvement in execution

  • Deliver executive-level reporting and insights, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, financials, and adherence to governance and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management delivering complex technology initiatives in large, matrixed organizations

  • Proven experience leading digital transformation or large-scale technology modernization efforts

  • Strong ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution (“roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset)

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple stakeholders at varying levels, including senior executives

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms and expertise in project delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)

  • Experience with financial and budget management tools such as Clarity or equivalent systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influence skills

  • Healthcare, insurance, pharmacy, or regulated industry experience

  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent project management certifications

  • Experience working within enterprise governance, compliance, and audit frameworks

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
