Android is the foundation of our POS stack. Toast even designs and sells its own specialized Android tablets, so we can build the best integrated hardware and software products.

Our POS Payments Experience team powers some of the restaurant's most critical workflows (checking out and taking payments) across a coordinated network of tablets and peripherals that are typically used 10-12 hours a day. The POS needs to work as fast as possible, and if the network has problems, it needs to keep running. Meeting these requirements means pushing our technology stack to the limits.
