Senior Frontend Engineer, Design System

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer, Design System based in Ireland. This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on building the shared UI foundation that powers multiple products and teams.You will own and evolve a modern design system spanning component libraries, design tokens, documentation, and developer tooling.A key focus will be making the system AI-friendly so both developers and AI agents can create consistent, accessible interfaces by default.You will work hands-on with React and TypeScript while shaping component APIs, performance, accessibility, theming, and localization.The role combines deep frontend engineering with close collaboration across design, product, accessibility, and engineering teams.You will influence technical direction, improve developer experience, and drive adoption of the design system across the organization.This is an opportunity to shape a foundational platform at the intersection of frontend engineering, design systems, and AI-assisted development.
