Wolcen is looking for a Senior Data Analyst that will be a member of our Marketing & Publishing team and empower our game teams with data-driven insights, tools and recommendations to make more data informed decisions, driving value for our business and players. This is a remote role, so you can be located anywhere in the European region and will report to the Head of Marketing.
Support data-driven decision making for the entire funnel, focusing on Gameplay events, Retention and Economy (in tandem with our Economy designers) and monetization funnels by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing relevant data. Deliver insights that optimize marketing performance, inform business strategy, and improve player engagement. Proactively support data needs from Game Design or Production where dashboards fall short. Help define the questions they’re trying to answer—not just deliver numbers. You’ll be trusted to shape your workflows, recommend tools, and proactively identify areas where data can unlock value at every step of the funnel. You will also have to coach more junior team members of the Analytics team.

- Create and own the analytics roadmap in collaboration with the Marketing and Game Dev Teams
- Identify new data sources (internal & external) to enrich understanding of players and markets
- Develop standardized processes for storing and sharing marketing insights
- Analyze trends across Steam wish-lists, page visits, and conversion funnels
- Track campaign KPIs and user acquisition performance (organic and paid)
- Set up, monitor, and analyze A/B tests for campaigns, assets, and messaging
- Measure email and social media performance (open rates, CTRs, follower trends)
- Support marketing & community team with data on engagement and content effectiveness
- Recommend actions based on campaign and performance analysis
Requirements
- Gaming industry experience having worked with companies that developed video games
- Strong experience in an analytics role performing quantitative analysis
- Good experience managing projects and building analysis plans

- Knowledge of Steamworks, Google Analytics, Game Analytics, Mailchimp, Meta Ads, X/Twitter Analytics
- Background in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
How success will look like
- The Marketing & Game Teams make faster, more informed decisions based on accessible insights
- Campaign performance is optimized based on clear metrics and iteration
- Stakeholders understand what works, what doesn’t, and why
- Data becomes an embedded part of the marketing and game dev processes, not an afterthought
