Senior Backend Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer based in Switzerland. This role offers the opportunity to build scalable backend systems that support trust-focused workflows within a European fintech environment. You’ll design reliable APIs and infrastructure while contributing to the long-term technical architecture of the platform. The position combines hands-on backend engineering with systems thinking, quality ownership, and thoughtful problem-solving. You’ll work closely with engineers to strengthen development practices, testing standards, and maintainable technical foundations. The role requires a strong understanding of user needs and system behavior, particularly when solving complex problems in ambiguous environments.
