Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will report directly to the Accounting Director and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll, accruals, and the monthly close process.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily activities of Eargo’s accounting and financial operations.
- Primary focus areas will include accounts receivable, accruals, inventory, payroll, and the monthly/quarterly Close process.
- Assist with Monthly Sales Tax reconciliation and reporting.
- Ownership of the US expense reporting process, annual 1099 process and all vendor management.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and related general ledger account reconciliations.
- Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline processes.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures and the related documentation and record-keeping compliance.
- Provide responses and support for inbound departmental inquiries and ad-hoc analysis
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Support accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field would be preferred, and professional accounting experience is required.
- Ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably at a rapidly growing technology (including medical technology) company.
- Experience with key accounting operations, including Order to Cash, Procure-To-Pay, Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and US GAAP.
- Intermediate or Advanced Excel Skills preferred. Experience with pivot tables and advanced formulas is a must.
- Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP system), Expensify, and Bill.com and Ecommerce preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $80-93k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographical area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
