Sales Executive, Dental/Vision, Public & Labor Segment

**We have a preference for qualified candidates in the Southeast or Texas for this opportunity**

  • Manages new business sales of dental and vision products to Public and Labor entities in a broad geographic territory throughout the Southeast and Texas.
  • Works with internal and external business partners in the development of strategic plans to influence new opportunity volume.
  • High influence on sales and growth of membership and revenue.

**In addition to a base salary, this role is eligible for sales Incentive Compensation**

Fundamental Components:

  • Develops new business opportunities and cultivates strong, productive, and influential relationships to generate new sales of large or more complex accounts in this specific business segment.
  • Implements strategies necessary to exceed sales objectives in assigned geography.
  • Conference attendance as appropriate and in line with other internal business partner activities.
  • Manages complex negotiations and consults on unique situations to position products, rate levels, and cross sell product portfolios to increase sales or support difficult renewals and maximize revenue.
  • Works with the clients and internal business partners to identify their needs and utilize our full product array to put together a multifaceted package for the client.
  • Coordinates sales materials, testimonials, and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of constituent proposal responses and value story presentations.
  • Oversees communication and planning among key stakeholders and presents a successful finalist presentation.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on emerging trends in the marketplace by participating in community and industry events as an Aetna representative. Collaborates with account management on their assigned book of business.
  • Ensures product, pricing and services meet clients needs while meeting Aetna’s revenue growth and profit objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to uncover stand alone and cross-sell opportunities within new/existing customers and to support post-sale activities.
  • Accountable for overall Sales Planning, Distribution Channel, Sales Processes, RFP & Quoting Process.
  • Identified within the business unit as "a person to ask" when complex questions arise to ensure the most appropriate response is developed from the business area responsible.
  • Participate in more senior level discussions with higher-level leaders.
  • Consistently provide practical/relevant ideas and perspectives on process or practice improvements.

Required Experience:

  • 5 -7 years of relevant ancillary benefit sales experience, experience with Dental & Vision products preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of expereince in the Public & Labor sector.
  • Ability to explain the relevant process elements and issues in relation to organizational issues and trends in sufficient detail during discussions.
  • Persuasive presentation skills demonstrating value and moving client to purchase.
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage several varying task complexities at once.
  • Ability to successfully negotiate with internal/external clients to achieve profitable wins in market.
  • Has a complete understanding of business financials, products, and services.
  • Ability to travel within the market.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Health & Life licensed.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,400.00 - $126,582.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
