About the Role:
As a Program Manager III in our Technology Excellence & Resilience (TER) organization — the team that ensures CrowdStrike's availability, reliability, and resilience through best-in-class infrastructure and engineering practices — you will own and drive complex, cross-functional engineering programs spanning multiple teams and organizations. You'll mobilize stakeholders across organizational boundaries, manage dependencies and competing priorities, ensure every team understands its role and commitments, and partner closely with engineering managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams globally to surface critical issues early and drive programs to resolution with quality, consistency, and urgency. This role pairs hands-on program leadership with building AI-powered solutions that automate routine work, surface insights, and enhance decision-making for the teams you support. We're seeking program managers who are energetic, eager to learn, and flexible, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment through innovative, AI-enhanced program management.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.
What You'll Do:
Program Management (70%)
Own and drive complex, cross-functional engineering programs end-to-end across TER and the broader organization — scoping requirements, building delivery schedules, managing dependencies within and across teams, and driving milestones to completion. You'll partner directly with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, moving fluidly between unblocking engineers on technical issues and delivering clear, actionable program updates to leadership. Success requires technical fluency across infrastructure, cloud operations, observability, and platform engineering so you can align programs to business objectives, facilitate technical decision-making, and exercise sound judgment on operational trade-offs. You'll proactively track program health across a distributed, global stakeholder landscape, surface risks and blockers before they impact delivery, escalate and drive critical issues to resolution with urgency, and keep all participating teams aligned and accountable to their commitments. You'll also contribute to strategic planning and roadmap discussions, coach teams on program management frameworks and shared accountability, and identify and operationalize improvements to program delivery processes.
AI Tooling Creation (30%)
Build AI-powered solutions that scale your impact: automated dashboards and reporting systems using Claude skills and agentic workflows; intelligent integrations across Jira, GitLab, monitoring, and infrastructure systems that automatically surface program health, risks, and dependencies; AI agents that proactively flag operational risks, deployment blockers, and cross-org dependencies; and reusable prompts and workflows that automate documentation, status reporting, and data extraction for you, your team, and your peers — freeing time for stakeholder management, problem-solving, and relationship building.
What You'll Need:
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder Status
7+ years managing complex, cross-functional engineering programs requiring active delivery from multiple teams across large, matrixed organizations, with a proven track record of owning programs end-to-end.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, mobilize stakeholders across organizational boundaries, drive accountability amid competing priorities, and connect program work to enterprise strategy.
Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments — learning quickly, extrapolating context from complex technical conversations, and translating it into clear action items and next steps.
Expert-level Jira proficiency (complex workflows, automations, queries, dashboards) and Agile/Scrum experience, plus a record of operationalizing process improvements that lift delivery quality.
Hands-on AI development experience is required: daily use of agentic AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot); ability to build Claude skills, AI workflows, and prompt engineering solutions; experience integrating AI into enterprise workflows and tooling; comfort with light Python or Go scripting; and a demonstrated track record of using AI to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to shift between strategic direction and tactical execution and tailor detail to the audience. Proven success coaching distributed teams across time zones, mentoring junior program managers, and building relationships that create impact beyond individual contributions.
Domain knowledge: experience supporting engineering portfolios spanning infrastructure, cloud operations, site reliability, developer tooling, or operational excellence at scale; familiarity with operational resilience practices (monitoring/alerting, change safety, scalability, observability, business continuity), multi-cloud environments, developer experience and testing practices, and platform tooling (Go, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD) sufficient to engage credibly with engineers and assess technical risk.
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
Bonus Points:
Experience supporting programs across infrastructure, site reliability engineering, cloud operations, or developer tooling organizations that required broad cross-organizational participation.
Background in incident management, business continuity, or operational readiness programs that spanned multiple organizations.
Experience building AI prompts, agents, or workflows that have been adopted by peers or broader engineering teams.
Experience working in or alongside regulated or government cloud environments.
Background in cybersecurity or security-adjacent engineering organizations.
