Product Designer - Communications

ABOUT THE ROLE Hi, I'm Janel https://www.linkedin.com/in/janelblattler/, and I lead design for Jane's Communications group. Before moving back to BC, I spent 14 years designing products in the UK and Australia. Now I live in a small town best known for mountain biking. In the evenings, you might find me on the trails, hosting beginner rides and encouraging more women to try the sport. One of my favourite parts of the week is seeing someone ride a feature or trail they never thought they could, with a big smile on their face. I even built a small app with Claude to help me choose our routes. Communications keeps clinics and patients connected through Jane: these days, we're working on text messaging, secure messaging, and the staff notification centre. Our mission is to bridge care between visits. That might include a patient running a few minutes late or a follow-up question after an appointment. Each of those moments helps practitioners spend less time chasing messages and more time doing the work they love, which is as close as it gets to helping the helpers.
