The Opportunity


This Director role leads and drives the strategic direction of FICO Decision Management Platform (DMP), enabling customers to rapidly build scalable, intelligent decision applications that deliver analytically-driven outcomes at scale. This role owns DMP within FICO Platform, synthesizing voice of customer (VOC) input, normalizing demand, and driving development priorities. The resulting priorities are handed off to assigned Engineering teams, with Platform Management providing leadership, validation, and accountability throughout.

What You’ll Contribute

  • Define and drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for DMP, synthesizing Voice of Customer input, industry trends, and innovation in decision automation.

  • Establish an innovation horizon that advances DMP core capabilities, including identity access management, compute, data service providers, and infrastructure, to accelerate competitive advantage and platform adoption.

  • Balance short-term customer needs against a long-term plan for market dominance, including build vs. buy awareness and growth projections to inform development prioritization.

  • Ensure rationalization of DMP capabilities across Decisioning, Analytics, Feature Management, Optimization, and Simulation, to deliver a cohesive platform-driven customer experience.

  • Establish a market thought leadership position through analyst reviews, publications, PR, emerging industry practice, and client engagement.

  • Connect and quantify growth dependencies (focused on customer satisfaction) for enabling Platform capabilities, collaborating with other Platform Management team members for input into development prioritizations.

  • Package well-formed development proposals through the prioritization process and provide leadership and accountability to assigned Engineering Teams.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Senior Managers and Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish, monitor, and improve standard pricing, contract terms, and commercial constraints that balance DMP market adoption and recurring revenue growth with profitable business returns.

  • Drive continuous improvement of COGS, operational efficiency, and expense management aligned to business objectives and informed by Sales feedback.

  • Plan, review, and coordinate DMP ecosystem communications around releases, enhancements, enablement, and collateral, inclusive of FICO Sales, Partners, and Solutions constituents.

  • Partner with Engineering to ensure timely, high-quality execution of DMP services aligned to business objectives and customer expectations.

  • Develop and maintain an accurate customer-facing roadmap for DMP covering near-term delivery and future platform direction.

What We’re Seeking

  • Proven platform or product management expertise including product ideation, roadmap development and validation, scrum product ownership, coordination with engineering in an Agile environment.

  • Deep knowledge of the Decisioning industry across banking, insurance, telco, and emerging verticals, with a strong grasp of client business problems and how decisioning capabilities address them.

  • Understanding of decision logic execution within pipelines, including rules engines, Machine Learning models, and mathematical optimization, and the ability to translate these capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, establish ROI, and prioritize market opportunities spanning both discrete and integrated synergistic platform capabilities.

  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, and driving decisions to consensus.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing a team of product professionals, with the ability to coach and elevate others while maintaining personal accountability for outcomes.

  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex platform and technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries preferred.

  • BS degree in business or software engineering required; MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
