Non-QM Underwriter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Non-QM Underwriter based in the United States. This role is responsible for evaluating complex Non-QM mortgage transactions with a strong focus on credit quality, compliance, and risk management.You’ll review borrower profiles, income documentation, collateral, title, appraisals, and other supporting documentation to determine loan eligibility.The position requires advanced judgment when working with self-employed borrowers, alternative income sources, complex properties, and non-standard loan scenarios.You’ll manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining accuracy, quality standards, and contractual turnaround times.Close collaboration with processors, loan officers, account managers, clients, and internal teams will be essential to moving files efficiently toward final approval.You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where independent decision-making, regulatory knowledge, and attention to detail are highly valued.The role also provides opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
