Mental Health Expert

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mental Health Expert based in Brazil. This remote, project-based consulting role offers mental health professionals the opportunity to contribute their clinical expertise to the development of safer AI systems. You will help design and test realistic mental health scenarios and evaluate how AI systems respond to psychological distress and high-risk situations. A key part of the role is authentically representing Brazilian users, including culturally relevant communication patterns, expressions of distress, and help-seeking behaviors. You will work alongside researchers and engineers on confidential AI safety initiatives, contributing to evaluations, behavioral frameworks, and safety metrics. The work is interdisciplinary, flexible, and suited to clinicians who are comfortable combining independent expertise with collaborative, feedback-driven projects. Assignments may vary depending on project needs and typically require 5–10 hours per week while actively engaged.
