LOCATION & FLEXIBILITY

Our Manager, Engineering  are integral parts of our Marketing Services team at TELUS Digital. To help retain our deep culture of collaboration, this role will maintain an in-office presence in a hybrid/remote capacity [Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays depending on location]. This role can be located in Boston, MA, Columbus, OH, Charlottesville, VA, or Durham, NC. 


THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Manager, Engineering you’ll mentor a team of all levels to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. Your partnership and coaching skills will impact our teams, clients, and company! You’ll have clear oversight of how engineering runs day-to-day, and you’ll influence project outcomes and team happiness.  


RESPONSIBILITIES 

- Develop and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable full-stack applications using cutting-edge technologies.

- Lead the design and implementation of software solutions, adhering to best practices and coding standards.

- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Ensure the quality and reliability of the software through effective testing methodologies, including unit testing and automated testing platforms.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement and implement them as needed.

- Contribute to the growth of the engineering team by actively participating in the hiring process, conducting interviews, and providing valuable input.

- You’ll embody a growth mindset and apply it in your leadership style.

- You’ll mentor others to help grow their technical and interpersonal skills.

- Have a deep understanding of software engineering and established best practices.
