Lead ML Engineer – Classical ML & GenAI/RAG

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead ML Engineer – Classical ML & GenAI/RAG based in India. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building, deploying, and supporting production-grade machine learning solutions. The primary focus is classical Machine Learning and Data Science, with responsibilities spanning model development, data preparation, feature engineering, validation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will also bring recent experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG applications to complement the core ML work. The role requires strong engineering discipline, including reusable Python and SQL development, automated pipelines, testing, monitoring, and reproducibility. You will work across ambiguous business and technical requirements while collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. The position also provides opportunities to guide other ML professionals and contribute directly to reliable, scalable AI solutions.
