Lead Data Scientist - Growth

ABOUT THE ROLE Hi, I'm Vivek https://www.linkedin.com/in/vivekbala/, VP of Product Growth at Jane. I'm based in the Bay Area, California, and have been building growth and retention engines at other high-growth tech companies for over 10 years. Over those years, I have led and managed high-functioning growth teams and recently joined Jane to build out Jane's first-ever Growth team, and I'm excited about the impact this team will bring to both our internal teams and customers. Product Growth at Jane is a team of Product Managers, Data Engineers, Designers, Developers, and Data Scientists. This role reports directly to me as VP of Product Growth, and will be embedded in the growth team as our first dedicated data hire. In practice, I have seen many growth teams treat data science as an afterthought, bolted on after the "EPD" (engineering, product, design) trio is already in place. We're building it the right way: this role completes the Growth Pod quartet (EPDD — Eng, Product, Data and Design) from day one, with a seat at the table in every strategic conversation, not just the ones where results need analyzing.
