The Inventory Planning Systems, Sr Manager helps lead the business and systems transition from legacy on-premises replenishment and supply planning solutions to a next-generation SaaS forecasting and replenishment platform. This role serves as an end-to-end subject-matter authority for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment systems throughout the migration lifecycle—ensuring continuity of service, planner confidence, and measurable business value.

The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking and change leadership, paired with sharp analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will operate with a planner-first mindset, grounding work in practical execution and driving adoption and trust through clear, thoughtful engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as one of the primary SME’s for existing / future forecasting, replenishment, and supply planning modules

• Own legacy configuration knowledge to ensure continuity during migration

• Define system sunset and decommissioning criteria

• Translate business requirements into functional design for the Next Gen platform

• Partner with planners & analytics partners to configure forecasting, safety stock, and order optimization logic

• Integrate ML forecasts and demand sensing into replenishment execution

• Lead capability mapping, parallel runs, validation, and cutover planning

• Define acceptance criteria for accuracy, service, inventory productivity, and adoption

• Mitigate operational and service risks during transition

Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, and exception quality

• Perform root-cause analysis across data, models, and configuration

• Drive post-go-live continuous improvement

• Enable transition to exception-based planning

Drive adoption of planning solutions through clear communication, training, and enablement of planning teams

• Act as escalation point for system issues

• Partner with Planning, IT, Data Science, and Operations

• Translate system performance into business outcomes

• Contribute to long-term planning roadmap

Required Qualifications

•7+ years of forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain systems experience

•Experience with Blue Yonder, RELEX, Anaplan, or similar ML-driven planning platforms

•Experience leading or supporting major platform migrations

Preferred Qualifications

• SQL or Python for diagnostics and validation

• Retail or omnichannel experience at scale

Demonstrated understanding of Retail Planning environments

Proven ability to distill complex business and technical concepts into well-defined functional requirements

Ability to influence stakeholders with data driven analysis

Education:

Bachelors degree or HS Diploma GED with equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
