Director, Reinsurance Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Reinsurance Accounting based in the United States. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity overseeing the financial operations of complex reinsurance programs.You will lead the end-to-end accounting, reporting, and analysis of reinsurance arrangements across a property and casualty insurance environment.The role covers structures including excess of loss, quota share, facultative, stop loss, and retrocession agreements.You will manage a specialized accounting team while partnering closely with actuarial, underwriting, legal, finance, and external reinsurance stakeholders.Your expertise will help strengthen financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and operational efficiency.You will also drive process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance the quality and scalability of reinsurance operations.Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will have broad visibility and an important role in supporting financial and business objectives.
