Director, Privacy Legal

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Privacy Legal based in the United States. This is a senior legal leadership opportunity for an experienced privacy attorney to oversee a global privacy legal function and help shape a mature, scalable privacy compliance program. You will serve as the primary legal subject matter expert on privacy and data protection, advising teams across a complex, product-driven technology environment. The role combines strategic counseling, regulatory engagement, policy development, and hands-on partnership with product and engineering teams. You will help embed privacy requirements into products, systems, and business processes while ensuring compliance with evolving global regulations. The position also offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with regulators and industry bodies and influence privacy practices both internally and externally. Success in this role requires sound legal judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate pragmatically in a fast-changing, high-impact environment.
