Director of Credit

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Credit based in the United States. This is a senior credit leadership role focused on underwriting complex, high-value commercial transactions within a fast-growing financial technology environment.You will personally lead large-ticket credit decisions, manage escalations, and exercise delegated authority on significant exposures.The role combines hands-on underwriting with credit policy, portfolio management, syndication, and capital-markets readiness.You will also help expand credit capabilities as the business enters adjacent products such as leasing and receivables financing.Working closely with Risk, Capital Markets, Sales, and technology teams, you will balance growth, speed, risk discipline, and portfolio performance.You will have significant autonomy and a direct voice in credit decisions, with the expectation of challenging assumptions when necessary.This opportunity is ideal for an experienced commercial credit professional who combines deep judgment, strong writing, leadership, and an AI-first approach.
