About the role:

The Director of Equity at Samsara is more than a technical lead—they are a cultural steward. By bridging the gap between complex financial instruments and the human impact on our employees' lives, you will lead a team of high-performers to maintain the most transparent and automated equity ecosystem in the industry.

This remote position is open to candidates residing in the US except for Alaska, Austin, California, Chicago, Connecticut, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and Washington DC metro.

In this role, you will: 

  • Own the day-to-day administration of all equity platforms, plans, and awards, including grants, vesting, sales, and ESPP activity. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Equity professionals, driving operational excellence and accuracy. 
  • Build and scale processes, systems, and controls to support a global, publicly traded company, including compliance with SEC, IRS, audit, SOX, and foreign equity requirements. 
  • Serve as the company’s equity plan expert, providing strategic guidance to Legal, Finance, Accounting, People, and executive leadership.
