Director, Data Engineering (RWD)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Data Engineering (RWD) based in India. This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on shaping enterprise-scale data engineering capabilities across real-world data environments. You will help define lakehouse strategy, oversee data ingestion and transformation, and deliver standardized data products across clinical, safety, financial, and operational domains. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical direction, ensuring data remains scalable, reliable, secure, and well governed. You will partner closely with technology teams, data and analytics specialists, and business stakeholders to translate organizational priorities into effective data solutions. You will also lead and develop global engineering teams while strengthening capabilities across cloud technologies, Databricks, Python, SQL, and CI/CD.
