About This Position
As Controller in a fast-growing, highly technical organization, you will play a key role in working variety of technical leaders to ensure clear financial understanding and accounting of the fast-moving battalions that comprise Conversant Group delivering financial insights, increasing gross margin performance and managing relationships for our Chief Financial Officer.
To be successful in this position, the candidate must have a deep understanding of IT services including cloud consumption and traditional SaaS models, as well as be dynamic, confident, diligent, results oriented, have strong business acumen with a customer focus, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks. This role requires someone who appreciates the pace of entrepreneurially driven companies, enjoys change, loves to learn and effectively multitasks without losing attention to details. Ability to drive financial performance and change by communicating clearly and concisely in both written and verbal modes is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that GAAP accounting standards are followed in order to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Involvement in all aspects of financial management, inclusive of corporate accounting, budget and forecast preparation, internal regulation, and financial reporting.
- Support the CFO in monitoring, assessing, and improving use of internal financial management tools, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, cost effectiveness, and best practices. Documents all financial processes and controls, updates accordingly.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and other business reports: financial forecasts and operational reporting to communicate the fiscal state of business.
- Improve processes and internal controls in all areas managed.
- Monitor, analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage accounting team and related department operations, compiling financial reports, in accordance with GAAP, and implement policies and procedures for accurate and timely reporting.
- Support CFO to manage the cash flow and working capital requirements of the organization.
- In conjunction with the CFO, support external audits and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
- Facilitate relationships with internal and external lawyers, accountants, consultants, financial partners and advisors.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 + years working in IT services, Cloud Technology, and/or a SaaS Company
- Deep understanding of managed services and labor accounting/forecasting
- Minimum of 5+ years as a Corporate Controller
- CPA qualified
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required. MBA strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with NetSuite
