We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Applied Cloud Architect – Product & Platform to lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-based solutions that directly drive business value.

This role blends architecture, product thinking, and hands-on engineering. You will define and drive the technical roadmap aligned to product outcomes, while also building and operationalizing solutions in a production environment. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior individual contributor who thrives in end-to-end ownership—from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical roadmap aligned with product strategy and business priorities in a highly regulated environment

  • Translate product requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud architectures

  • Design, build, and deploy cloud-native solutions using GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure

  • Act as a bridge between product, engineering, and stakeholders, shaping both “what” gets built and “how”

  • Lead the development of data, AI/ML, and application platforms in the cloud

  • Implement and operationalize end-to-end solutions, including data pipelines, APIs, and ML workflows

  • Establish and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, security, performance, and cost optimization

  • Drive MLOps/DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring

  • Own delivery of key features and platforms, ensuring they are production-ready, scalable, and measurable

  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and integrate innovations that accelerate product capabilities


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or applied data/ML systems

  • Hands-on experience with GCP (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Functions) or equivalent platforms

  • Experience with design and implement scalable cloud architectures

  • Python programming experience

  • Experience building and deploying data pipelines, APIs, and/or ML solutions in production

  • Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

  • Experience operating across both technical execution and product-oriented thinking

  • 10% travel required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
