We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Abu Dhabi team. In this role, you’ll help us build relationships with retail partners and bring them onto the Deliveroo platform, developing a 'best in class' proposition within a new and exciting area of our business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be joining the SMB (Small and Medium Business) team, reporting to the SMB Team Lead. You will be responsible for expanding our retail and restaurant footprint in the region, ensuring new partners launch successfully and scale rapidly on our platform.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

- Strategic Prospecting: Map, pitch, and close new partners across your region, acting as a category expert to identify up-and-coming brands and a strong pipeline of leads.

- Multi-channel Outreach: Engage with retail partners through physical visits, emails, calls, and social media to demonstrate Deliveroo’s technology and value proposition.

- Onboarding Management: Oversee the partner onboarding process from start to finish to ensure it is as quick, efficient, and seamless as possible.

- Launch Success: Monitor and support partner performance within the critical first eight weeks of signing to guarantee long-term success.

- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Deliveroo at local meetups and industry events to build our network and presence in the Abu Dhabi market.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

- Proven Sales Track Record: Significant experience (2-3 years) in sales, with a demonstrable history of prospecting, pitching, and closing high-value deals.

- Skilled Negotiator: Proven ability to structure win-win deals that benefit both the partner and Deliveroo's commercial ecosystem.

- Commercial Knowledge: A strong understanding of the economics of delivery and the ability to work towards demanding monthly targets.

- Operational Ownership: A tenacious, self-motivated approach to managing your own territory and taking full ownership of your portfolio.

- Local Expertise: Based in Abu Dhabi (or willing to relocate) with an interest in the local food and retail landscape. Experience in the restaurant sector is a plus.
