We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team and take ownership of building intuitive, impactful dashboards and analytics experiences for our business stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong skills in data visualization and dashboard creation (preferably with Domo) and enough knowledge of data modeling to recommend optimized data structures (such as materialized views) that ensure performance and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Domo (and other BI tools as needed).
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable, visually compelling dashboards.
- Ensure dashboards provide clear, accurate, and actionable insights aligned with business goals.
- Recommend and collaborate with data engineers on optimized data models and materialized views to support reporting needs.
- Monitor dashboard performance, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and processes.
- Stay current on BI and data visualization best practices, introducing improvements where beneficial.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in BI development or data visualization, preferably with Domo.
- Strong understanding of dashboard design principles, user experience, and storytelling with data.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts; ability to recommend data structures for performance optimization.
- Experience collaborating with data engineers or analysts on data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
- Background in analytics engineering or data modeling.
