This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Back-End Engineer (Java-Spring) based in Brazil. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact international project focused on scalable, production-grade backend applications and AI-powered capabilities. You will design and develop robust microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, while working with modern cloud technologies. The role combines backend engineering with hands-on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will also integrate production-grade Large Language Models into backend workflows, helping bring intelligent features into real-world products. End-to-end ownership is central to the position, from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across LATAM and internationally, with daily communication conducted in English. This is a fully remote contractor opportunity with consistent alignment to Central Time (CT).
