The Opportunity at a Glance

We’re looking for a Company Accountant with hands-on experience in Xero and a strong understanding of financial processes across payroll, reconciliations, creditors, and month-end reporting.

This is a fixed-term contract for 10 months, ideal for an experienced accountant seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a growing product-based business. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial processes that support daily operations across Australia.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including timesheet approvals, performance bonuses, and bank payments.

  • Perform bank reconciliations three times per week and ensure accurate cash management.

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, processing supplier invoices and debtor payments.

  • Prepare and issue invoices for completed deliveries and reconcile supplier statements.

  • Handle fabric ordering and purchase orders for both local and international suppliers.

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly BAS and fuel tax credits.

  • Complete month-end activities, including payroll tax, credit card reconciliations, and accruals.

  • Support the Financial Controller in reviewing data accuracy, reporting, and process improvements.

  • Participate in ad hoc accounting and administrative projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For – You’re the Perfect Fit if You:

  • Have previous experience as a Company Accountant or Assistant Accountant in a product-based or manufacturing business.

  • Are proficient in Xero, including payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Understand BAS, GST, and payroll tax compliance requirements.

  • Have strong attention to detail and reconciliation accuracy.

  • Can work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI.

  • Are organised, logical, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Work Schedule & Employment Terms

  • Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (10 Months)

  • Monday to Friday, following Australian business hours

  • Remote role for Philippine-based candidates
