About the role
The Accounts Receivable Specialist I is responsible for performing payment duties based upon the guidelines of the SSA’s Ticket to Work program. The Accounting Specialist I must pay close attention to detail and be able to professionally interact with the Ticket Program Manager (Cognisante) and SSA regarding various payment situations that may arise. They must maintain a positive working relationship with all team members. The Accounting Specialist I ensures all appropriate information is input into AES systems.
What you'll do
- Requests Ticket to Work portal and manual payments from Maximus.
- Follows up on pay stubs from the beneficiaries.
- Audits pay stubs received from the beneficiaries and inputs in the RTW Wage Monitoring system.
- Faxes paystubs to the TPM and SSA.
- Assists assigning Tickets in the Ticket to Work portal as needed.
- Communicates with beneficiaries, TPM and SSA when necessary regarding payments and AES related items.
- Outbound phone calls required to follow up for pay stubs.
- Documents all actions and conversations in AES systems.
- Understands the details of the Ticket to Work program incentives and payment procedures/criteria.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of beneficiary and Allsup information.
- Processes emails coming into the AES general email box when necessary.
- Adheres to all deadlines related to Ticket assignment and forms processing, as needed.
- Utilizes the task system, taking the appropriate actions on tasks and ensuring that the next task sets correctly.
- Serve as back – up to other AES Support Specialist I, as needed.
- Must complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required, associate’s degree with 6 months general office experience or appropriate Allsup experience preferred.
- Ability to learn, retain and apply information
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer relations skills
- Must be flexible, adaptive and responsive to change
