Position : Bookkeeper/ Accountant (with US Taxation Background)

Working Hours : Monday to Friday, TBD

Salary Range : $1500 USD per month



Position Overview:

The Bookkeeper / Internal Controls Specialist will be responsible for bookkeeping, financial analysis,
compliance, and operational improvements to support the company's funding operations. They will also
assist in cash flow forecasting, tax planning, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Bookkeeping & Financial Management
  • Manage loan transactions and settlement tracking related to medical receivables.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Track financial transactions, loan repayments, and tax obligations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in tax preparation and maintain records for US and California tax filings.
2. Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, financial regulations, and AMF’s internal policies.
  • Assist in audits and prepare necessary financial documentation.
  • Ensure medical lien transactions follow regulatory and contractual obligations.
3. Financial Analysis & Forecasting
  • Analyze financial data to support funding decisions and deal evaluations.
  • Prepare cash flow projections, financial forecasts, and earnings reports
  • Identify risks in financial transactions and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize financial strategy and profitability.
4. Operational Support & Process Automation
  • Organize financial data using Google Drive and maintain structured filing systems.
  • Assist in streamlining processes to improve efficiency in financial workflows.
  • Implement automation tools to minimize manual errors in financial reporting.
  • Work closely with external accountants, tax professionals, and capital partners.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Required Experience:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in finance, medical billing, or personal injury funding.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quicken Finance (strong preference).
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions related to loans and medical receivables.
  • Experience with internal controls, audits, and tax filings (US and California preferred).


Preferred Experience (Bonus Skills):
  • Background in medical finance, legal funding, or accounts receivable financing.
  • Familiarity with personal injury funding models, medical liens, and settlement-base financing.
  • Experience working with capital partners and financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations (for financial privacy compliance).
