Staff Accountant
Location - Remote in the United States, Eastern Time Preferred
The Role
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You’ll own balance sheet reconciliations, support month-end close, and assist with audit preparation. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is comfortable with technology, and is eager to grow in a modern SaaS finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Own month-end close processes for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review monthly analytics and KPIs to identify trends, errors or other matters that require communication to, and potential action from, cross-functional teams in the business.
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate accruals and expense allocations.
- Support external audits by preparing PBCs and responding to auditor requests.
- Help streamline accounting workflows and improve automation in systems such as NetSuite, Concur, Navan and others.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Assist in ad hoc projects, special analyses, and systems integrations as the business evolves.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Intacct or Oracle ERP strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and comfort working with large data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving organization.
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification a plus.
