Senior Accountant – Remote

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

We’re recruiting for an independent accountancy firm based in Manchester, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. In this role, you will specialise in supporting medical professionals, providing expert accounting and tax services tailored to their needs.

The Role:

• Managing a portfolio of medical professional clients, including GPs, consultants, and healthcare specialists.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns.
• Providing tailored tax advice and planning solutions to clients.
• Ensuring compliance with FRS 102 & 105, UK tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
• Assisting with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Supporting junior team members and reviewing work as needed.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering proactive support and advisory.

The Ideal Candidate:

✔️ At least 3-5 years of UK accountancy practice experience.
✔️ Ideally ACCA qualified (or finalist).
✔️ Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance.
✔️ Experience working with healthcare professionals is desirable but not essential.
✔️ Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Iris.
✔️ Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships remotely.
