We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team!

The Senior Accountant will be under the direction of the Accounting Manager and work directly with other team members to ensuring the finance function meets its goals, key metrics and other financial reporting obligations.
 The Senior accountant will actively participate with day-to-day finance functions, month-end and annual financial related documentation need for all of the organization’s entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate with the Accounting manager and team in supporting the completion of day-to-day accounting responsibilities, including working with the various accounting modules that feed into the general ledger, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury, etc. for all of the organization’s entities
  • Take an active role in team response, to ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual financial statements and related supporting documents ensuring that reported financial results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Be an active participant in the completions of monthly responsibilities that may include but not limited to, journal entries, account reconciliations, issuance of billing statements, revenue and expenses analysis, bank reconciliations, fixed asset reporting, compilation of the trial balance, account analysis, and other related supporting process to the close cycle
  • Dedication to adherence of the month-end close cycle deadlines and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor
  • Ensures that all month-end control account reconciliations (i.e., A/R and A/P) are completed timely and tie to supporting ledgers, within the close cycle
  • Supports and participates in the annual financial audit process
  • Interacts and provides information and answer questions for internal and external third parties
  • Interfaces with external auditors, tax professional and other external consultants and assists in team effort for preparing for annual audits and other quarterly and annual reporting
  •  Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the organization


    Qualifications and Skills: 

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in accounting/finance, working with multiple skill levels in Accounting in a team environment, with specific involvement with the general ledger
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MUST have advanced Excel skills
    • Motivated self-starter and team player, capable of managing multiple deliverables within mandated timeframes on their own
    • Ability to effectively communicate to leadership status of deliverables and workload and timeframe for completion along with being able communicate day to day with team members as well as senior leadership
    • High degree of attention to accuracy, sense of urgency, and continuous improvement
    • This is a Hybrid mainly working from home, and must reside in the Phoenix, AZ metro area
    • Experience working in an ERP system required, preference will be given to Sage experience
