Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to provide project management to the Marketing Department. They will act as the liaison between each Novo Pro Dealer entity and the Marketing staff (Marketing Director, Graphic Designer, etc.) as well as Pro Dealer sales management, including Territory Sales Managers. They will also work on annual budgeting, trade show support, managing the development of print collateral, and sourcing company branded merchandise. The Project Manager will maintain clear, two-way communication channels with the PRO Distribution Sales teams regarding their customers’ needs.

This is a hybrid position working out of our Zeeland, MI Corporate office

Essential Responsibilities

  • Works with the sales management team at Novo to develop effective sales tools from beginning to completion, including organizing and managing print projects and digital asset needs. This will include coordinating and scheduling annual, entity specific electronic and print materials (such as catalogs, profile guides, pocket guides, wall charts, tear pads, etc.), proofing and communicating edits to the graphic designer.
  • Completes projects and initiatives within appropriate time constraints and budgetary requirements, adhering to assigned priorities and coordinating with appropriate departments impacted throughout the process.
  • Acts as liaison between the sales team and graphic designer on the creation of new printed marketing/merchandising materials as well as necessary edits/updates to existing collaterals. Prepare/update graphic designer’s project schedule accordingly.
  • Works with eComm team to set up product promotions.
  • Manages and updates digital catalogs via DCatalog software to Novo website as new versions become available.
  • Challenges the status quo by developing more efficient and effective tools and processes to assist the sales team in presenting products and introducing new products, demonstrating leading edge capabilities and resources to include training videos or virtual tradeshow on screen
  • Provides instruction on maximizing the effectiveness and utilization of tools, both at Territory Sales Managers level and at customer level, as necessary.
  • Works with literature and branded merchandise fulfillment partners to manage and update product listings, tracking inventories, processing replenishment orders and updating user budgets annually.
  • Tradeshows activities to include booth staff coordination and promotions, as well as close collaboration with the Marketing Director to determine booth content and messaging.
  • Work with Merchandising Project Manager to coordinate the displays and trade show assets required per show.
  • Attends industry trade shows to research competitor booths and discover trends in booth design to suggest new ideas for Novo tradeshow booths.
  • Responsible for developing the annual Pro marketing budgets in coordination with the Sales Management team.
  • Responsible for invoice approvals and tracking of Pro Marketing expenses.
  • Participate in company sales meetings, as required.
  • Manages proofing of catalogs and printed materials.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned, including, but not limited to, compiling survey details, data entry, proofreading, or other correspondence.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent research, statistical, and decision-making skills with ability to navigate the internet to retrieve necessary data.
  • Must be a self-starter, honest and open communicator with a willingness to tackle problems individually and within a team setting
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
  • Must be willing to work within defined organizational structure to effectively establish priorities and assignments in accordance with overall marketing goals
  • Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative and professional relationships across departments within Novo, as well as with external customers and vendors
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and ability to multi-task without losing sight of projects to be completed
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Additionally, strong creative, analytical, logical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to issues and questions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Project Management desired Use experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
  • Strong Pro Dealer / Millwork Product knowledge desired

Travel Requirements

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out of the area travel may be expected.
  • Overnight travel may be required to attend trade shows and visit customer showrooms
