Money is moving onto the internet, and the shift has a name: Open Money. This is money that is open, portable, agentic, and owned by you. MetaMask spent the last ten years building it; with 100M+ downloads, users in ~190 countries, and trillions in cumulative transaction volume, it's the most trusted self-custodial financial platform on the internet. Now we're building the operating system for your money: one place to hold, move, grow, and use anything you own.  Join a remote-first, global team rebuilding how money works: a problem that touches everyone, every day.

About the team

MetaMask's design team is working to establish MetaMask as the premier wallet in fintech, elevating the craft of design and leading the industry as the next phase of decentralized finance unfolds. Our focus is reducing friction while preserving user trust, so more people can safely explore the world of Web3.

Prediction markets are one of the most exciting areas in consumer finance right now, sitting at the intersection of trading, sports, news, culture, and real world events. This is a big growth area for MetaMask, and we're looking for a Lead Product Designer to help shape where it goes next. This is a chance to take real ownership of the end-to-end Prediction Markets experience inside one of the most widely used products in web3 — helping define how people discover markets, understand what's happening, trade, manage positions, and come back as events unfold. The product is still evolving, so much of the experience is still there to be defined, and that's a big part of what makes this role interesting: we're not looking for someone to polish a finished product, we want someone who wants to help shape it. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering, have a strong voice in what we build, and take ideas from early thinking through to something real in the hands of users.

What you’ll do

  • Own the Prediction Markets experience from early thinking through launch and iteration.
  • Define how users discover markets, understand them, trade and manage their positions.
  • Make complex ideas like probabilities, liquidity and market mechanics feel clear and easy to understand.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to shape what we build, not just how it looks.
  • Prototype quickly using AI to explore ideas and get to stronger solutions faster.
  • Set a high bar for visual and interaction design, and use research and data to keep improving the product.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

  • 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped consumer products.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering impactful, customer-centric designs that solve complex problems and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with strong product instincts and attention to detail.
  • Experience taking complex or ambiguous problems from early ideas through to shipped experiences.
  • Comfortable using AI, code and modern design tools to explore, iterate and build quickly.
  • High ownership, strong communication and the confidence to push work forward without waiting for a perfectly defined brief.
  • Someone who genuinely loves sports and understands how fans follow teams, leagues, games and major sporting events.

Bonus points

  • Experience in trading, investing, fintech, sports, betting, marketplaces or other high frequency consumer products.
  • An interest in prediction markets and where the category could go.
  • Experience working with market data, probabilities, charts or financial positions.
  • Experience designing discovery, feeds, ranking or personalised content.
  • Experience with crypto or web3, although deep crypto knowledge is not required.

Don't meet all the requirements? Don't sweat it. We’re passionate about building a diverse team of humans and as such, if you think you've got what it takes for our chaotic-but-fun, remote-friendly, start-up environment—apply anyway, detailing your relevant transferable skills in your cover letter. While we have a pretty good idea of what we need, we're ready for you to challenge our thinking on who needs to be in this role.
