Location: Remote (Philippines) | Schedule: Night-Shift (U.S. Business Hours)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented General Accountant based in the Philippines to support a U.S.-based finance team. This position requires hands-on experience in payroll reconciliation, accounts receivable and collections, trade spend, sales tax, fixed assets, and month-end close processes.
Reporting directly to an Accounting Manager, you will contribute to audit preparation, financial reporting, and the overall efficiency of the finance department. This is a night-shift role aligned with U.S. business hours.
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) inboxes and assist in A/P invoice processing.
Generate customer invoices, issue statements, and follow up on collections.
Reconcile monthly sales activity and support trade spend reporting.
Handle customer deductions via credit memos and manage disputes.
Perform monthly reconciliations for credit cards, bank accounts, and key general ledger balances.
Review credit card transactions and prepare monthly T&E reports by department.
Prepare, process, and post bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate GL accrual entries.
Complete internal and external payroll reports as needed.
Post sales tax entries and reconcile sales-related accounts.
Support month-end close through accruals, discrepancy resolution, and journal entry preparation.
Evaluate and enhance existing policies and procedures for greater efficiency.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and assist with external audits.
Deliver assignments on time and support ad hoc projects as directed by the Accounting Manager.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year accredited university.
CPA certification required; Big 4 experience is highly valued.
Previous experience supporting U.S. teams or working night shifts is a plus.
Skills & Attributes
Proficiency in Excel is required.
Proficiency with QuickBooks is essential; NetSuite experience is a plus.
